UAIMS has a very Unique Mother & Child care Department. One entire floor is dedicated to this department, where Obstetrics and Newborn Child care units are situated side by side.

This gives a great psychological comfort to the mother and the whole family. The department is well equipped to handle all complicated and high risk pregnancies. Availability of Experienced Obstetricians with a team of Intensivists and Neonatologists at one place, makes it very safe for the mother and the newborn baby.

Best of the efforts are taken to conduct deliveries Normally. The department has well appointed Labor room monitored by qualified doctors, LDRP suites and isolated Eclapsia room. The Obstetrics department has two well equipped Operation theaters available round the clock for any emergency situation like Foetal distress., There is also a bed in the main ICU, dedicated for management of extremely high risk pregnancy. This is equipped for doing Caesarean section in ICU itself.
Continuous Patient education and even Home visits with Digital Non-Stress Test ( NST) are available for needy patients.
