Department of Neurology is well equipped with all advanced investigation facilities like EEG / EMG / NCS / VIDEO EEG etc.

Availability of advanced ICU set up had made managing critical and complicated neurological cases easy. Most importantly, a dedicated STROKE UNIT is available for rapid diagnosis and treatment of STROKE [PARALYSIS].

STROKE UNIT TEAM consists of a NEUROLOGIST, RADIOLOGIST, INTENSIVIST/PHYSICIAN and INTERVENIONAL RADIOLOGIST.
All the members of the team are alerted on arrival of a stroke patient. The patient undergoes a series of tests and management in the LIMITED TIME WINDOW available for treatment. STROKE THROMBOLYSIS IS CONSIDERED IN ALL INDICATED CASES. If necessary NEURO INTERVENTION IS CONTEMPLATED. SUCH COMPREHENSIVE STROKE UNIT IS UNIQUE IN OUR REGION.
